Frequently Asked Questions
Do my visitors need an account?
No. Anyone can scan your QR code or open metzo.in/yourhandle, see your status and knock. Only hosts register.
Does Metzo track my location?
Never. Metzo stores no GPS, no live location, no location history and no last-seen. Your door only ever shows whether you are open to a meeting.
Can I change my handle later?
No, and that is the point. Your handle is permanent, so the QR code you print today keeps resolving to the same door years from now.
Do I have to install an app?
No. Metzo runs in the browser. If you want it on your home screen you can install it as an app in one tap, with no app store.
How do I answer a knock?
You get a notification, open it, and tap one reply: Come In, Wait 5 Min, Wait 10 Min, Come Later or Can't Meet. The visitor sees it on their screen instantly.
What if now is a bad time?
Set By Appointment or Do Not Disturb and visitors are offered a meeting request instead, with a purpose and a proposed slot you can accept or decline.
